FCBBS NLCS Game 6
Going into our biggest play of the postseason we are down a measly 1.5 units and I cannot express my excitement enough about tonight's play.
1. We have the best pitcher in baseball on the mound for the Dodgers tonight. Coltrane Kershaw has been unhittable this postseason and for the first time he is pitching on full rest. The Cubs are listed at +122 right now on Pinnacle, but I think that's closer to the fair odds of them just scoring in the game.
2. This is Game 6 of the NLCS. Remember what happened last time the Cubs had a 3-2 NLCS lead? Bartman. Gonzalez. BERNIE MAC. This also happened THIRTEEN years ago and 13 is an unlucky number. I see NO REASON why something similar to that night won't happen this time around.
Let's recap that night, though, shall we? It was one of those times you'll never forget where you were, and one of those times I'll never forget how much money I made (a lot) on the 2003 rendition of the Fade Chicago Baseball Betting System.
It's the middle of the 7th and Bernie Mac sings "Take Me Out To The Ballgame." Instead of singing "root root root for the Cubbies" he sings "root root root for the champions." Big uh-oh right there.
Then in the top of the 8th with the Cubs up 3-0 and 1 out, I'll never forget Harry Caray's famous call...
"And Prior delivers to Castillo....he hits a duck snort down the line in shallow left...should be a can o' corn for Alou...he's under it and...A fan knocks it out of the air! DADGUMMIT!"
Castillo would walk and Juan Pierre, who advanced to third, would eventually score on a base hit by Ivan Rodriguez. Miguel Cabrera then came to the plate with runners on 1st and 2nd and one out, and created what SHOULD BE the play that is remembered by everyone. I'll let Harry take it again from here...
"Cabrera steps in...and the pitch from Prior...chopper two hopper to Gonzalez at short. Should be two..he bobbles it! Everybody is safe! YOU GOTTA BE BLEEPIN ME!"
When the damage was done, the Marlins scored 8 runs in the inning and delivered the death blow to the Cubs dreams in 2003.
Tonight, we deliver a death blow of our own - to your bookie. It's situations like this where the Fade Chicago Baseball Betting System just goes to another level.
Dodgers (Kershaw) -128 (Bovada) risking 6,350 units to win 5,000 units. Keep in mind one unit is $100 so you'll need about 10,000 different Bovada accounts to get the proper size down.
