FCBBS - NLCS Game 5: This Nonsense Stops Tonight

To the many #hatters out there who have (correctly) pointed out that my last 5 FCBBS plays have been total losers, let me just say this: that's the point, dummies! Loss after loss after loss just leads to bigger and bigger bets for when the inevitable win occurs. No baseball team has ever gone undefeated or winless in a season. Tonight could not be a better spot for the Fade Chicago Baseball Betting System. The best team in baseball, The LA Dodgers, have the best pitcher in baseball, Clayton Kershaw on the mound. The Cubs counter with Jose Quintana, who pitched ok in Game 1 of the series, but not ok enough for the Cubs to win.

Want to know what else is in our favour tonight? The numbers. The numbers are always in our favour but tonight they are particularly in our favour.

Number # 1: Before last night the Cubs needed four wins in a row to win this series. They haven't even won four games in a row all year against anybody, let alone the best team to ever take to a baseball diamond. FACT.

Number # 2: Before last night, the Dodgers needed to lose four games in a row to lose the series. They barely even lost back to back games this season, and certainly not against a team as putrid as the Cubs. FACT.

I know this crazy math stuff can be hard for you tweeps, so let me simplify it for you: The odds of both the Cubs winning this series AND the Dodgers losing this series is about the same as winning the Powerball lottery every day in a row for 10 years straight. In the words of the great Hawk Harrelson, this scenario playing out isn't exactly a "can o'corn."

I know it's been tough sledding for everyone playing 'The System' recently, including yours truly. Spending countless nights camped under the Morse L stop is a fate I wouldn't even wish upon Gar-Pax. But like John Lennon once said, "I get knocked down, but I get up again. You are never gonna keep me down." And now I'm back and ready to cash in, and the cashing in happens TONIGHT. KERSHAW. DODGERS. WE FIRE!!!

FCBBS - NLCS Game 4

My thoughts on this series can best be described by the word of the greatest broadcaster of all time, Kenneth "Hawk" Harrelson: "OVAH!"

After a fruitful week of dumpster diving outside and INSIDE of Hawthorne Park, I was able to scrape together enough units to afford a Lyft (never Uber) to the Majestic Star Casinos in Gary, where I was fortunate to hit a number of progressive jackpots to rejuvinate my number of units so I can easily double them tonight.

Where do we even begin on this one? The Cubs offense has been completely cucked by any Dodgers pitcher that steps on the mound. The Cubs have been grabbin' so much bench they've got splinters in their heinies. In particular, Javier Baez has been so terrible he'd gladly swing at a seagull flying 75 feet overhead.

Tonight is the last start in a Cubs uniform for Jack Arrieta, the one-time ace. He had an ok run in Chicago, and good on him but it's time for him (and us) to get paid. He'll sandbag it tonight to make sure he doesn't get hurt on his way to a $100 million contract starting next season. Kerry Wood is out for revenge against his old team and will mow them down as the Dodgers cruise into the World Series.

Dodgers win this one 5-1 and the result is never in doubt.

Dodgers (Wood) -110 (Stratosphere bc the damn line moved from +100 to -120 everywhere else while I was writing this. Vegas knows when I start on these posts now it's ridiculous).

FCBBS - 2017 NLDS Game 5

It's been a rough last 11.5 months for me after my cataclysmic 100,000 unit loss in Game 7 of the World Series. I was evicted from my office space, evicted from my home, and my wife left me. I called it quits on my baseball betting career. I was so close to the penthouse...and the way it all ended in the 10th inning left me wishing for something as nice as an outhouse. But ever since September turned to October and the warmish fall weather descended upon Chicago, I've been itching to get back in action. You can't just mope around feeling sorry for yourself forever. So after a few weeks of rifling through the dumpsters for winning tickets at Hawthorne Park, turning tricks under the Morse Red Line stop and dancing around Navy Pier dressed as the Tin Man, I was able to scrape together a few more units to put in action...

That's right - The Fade Chicago Baseball Betting System is back and WE FIRE tonight!!!!

The Cubs and Nats are in a win or go-home situation. The Cubs send out their soft-tossing "ace" Kenny Hendricks. How this guy masquerades as a MLB pitcher is beyond me. They way his pitches float to the plate, he seems bound for a 16 inch softball league sooner rather than later. The Nats throw up their #3 Geovany Gonzalo, who has had early inning porblems this season but mowed down the Cubs in Game 2 of this series. Expect Gonzalo to continue his early dominance. As soon as he runs into any issue, Manager of the Decade Rusty Baker will bring in Max Shearzear to clean it up. Dr Doolittle comes out to shut it down in the 8th and 9th. The Nats get on Hendricks early and often and the dumpster fire bullpen of the Cubs will have to be thrown into action, which as we all know is not ideal. As a bonus play, Jason Worth will pull his beard out of his ass and hit a home run. Worth HR at any number is a great play too. I'm trying to not get too excited here, but I really think Nats take this one 9-2 so feel free to fire away on the -2.5 runline. Go crazy kids! A team from DC will actually do something in the playoffs for once!
